Aimee Nicole Edwards-Altadonna, or ANEA, as she is known in the glass fusing world, is an up and coming, fused glass artist working out of her studio in Monterey California.

Aimee's work has been described as energetic, vivid, and displays a youthful exuberance. Aimee has been working with glass since 2000. Aimee first started using glass in the form of glass tiles in mosaic tables she created. She then moved into working with stained glass techniques. After discovering a website dedicated to hot glass, and taking an introductory class to glass fusing, Aimee was hooked on the art of Glass Fusing.

Aimee has always been an artistic person. As a child she was constantly involved in making crafts, whether it was beading or painting. Her creative side was encouraged by her high school art teacher, and now fused glass artist in his own right, Rob Morey.

"I always loved color. When I was a kid I sponge painted my entire bedroom, four different colors, and painted huge pictures on the walls. It was not until I discovered glass fusing that I truly found a medium that I could express myself creatively in."

Aimee graduated from CSU - Monterey Bay, with a B.A. in Human Communications, with an Emphasis in Women's Studies. Just before her graduation Aimee discovered glass fusing, and decided to take a year and explore the medium further. During that year Aimee became completely addicted and knew that glass fusing was for her!

Aimee's education in glass has come from numerous experts in the field of glass fusion. She has attend classes by renowned glass instructors Brock Craig, Avery Anderson, Jeremy Lepisto, and Phil Teefy. Each of her intensive classes has further improved Aimee as an artist.

"We have always been taught that glass does not bend, it only breaks, but glass fusing breaks all of these rules!

With the right tools and knowledge, you can actually bend glass and shape it into whatever form you desire."
